French crystal carafe with 6 liqueur glasses “Legras”
Definition.
Very nice carafe with 6 matching liqueur glasses, made at the end of the 19th century.
The set is made of mouth-blown crystal.
At the bottom of the glasses and the carafe you can still see the cut of the blowpipe.
After blowing, the objects were beautifully decorated with enamel paint. The decorations seem to have been applied in a very modern way.
No two glasses are exactly the same in size and weight.
Crystal from the 19th century is not as pure as the crystal we know today.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
