Definition.
This beautiful blue goblet was made in the 2nd half of the 19th century in France.
'Le creusot' was the most famous glass manufacturer that made this soot cups at the end of the 18th - beginning of the 19th century. This factory split in 1830 and Baccarat and Saint Louis were born.
The glass must therefore have been made by one of these 2 manufacturers, as they were still in possession of the old molds.
The goblet is made of cast glass, with a crystal content to achieve a more beautiful shine.
The cup is made in the rare sky blue color.
The glass is beautifully decorated with diamond pattern and grape vines.
Very nice item for the collector of antique glassware.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
