18th century antique crystal vase “Vonêche”
Definition.
Very beautiful crystal vase from the 2nd half of the 18th – early 19th century.
The
vase is made of mouth-blown crystal. Be careful: at this time, the crystal was not as pure as what we know today.
After
this, the vase is very finely cut with a diamond pattern.
The
vase has a very remarkable small base, which is why it is mainly used as a decorative piece.
Voneche
was founded in 1778 by Empress Maria Theresa, after which it split into Val Saint Lambert and Baccarat in 1830.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade 18the century glassware.
