Antique Dutch pottery vases ‘Porseleinen Fles Delft”
Antique Dutch pottery vases ‘Porseleinen Fles Delft”
Definition.
very rare set of 3 earthenware vases made in the 19th century in the Netherlands.
The vases are made of cast ceramic, after which they were richly painted by hand before being finished with a fired glaze.
The vases do not have the typical Delft blue images. These are painted with colors, which didn't happen often. This makes the vases extra rare.
At the bottom are the manufacturer's vases marked, as well as the year stamp "1869" and the name of the designer "L.V.B."
The set consists of a lidded vase with 2 side vases.
De Porceleyne Fles (since 1919 De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles, internationally known as Royal Delft) is a pottery factory, founded in the year 1653 in Delft
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique ceramic.
