Art Nouveau jug with 5 glasses
Art Nouveau jug with 5 glasses
Definition.
This beautiful Art Nouveau jug with 5 matching glasses was made at the end of the 19th century, presumably in Italy inspired by the world-famous glassware of the French artist "François-Théodore Legras"
All objects are made of mouth-blown glass, with a small crystal content to achieve a purer shine.
The set is finished with a layer of frost over which beautiful art nouveau gold paintings have been applied.
The colours blue and red have also been used very subtly.
At the bottom of the objects you can see the cut-off of the blowpipe.
Very nice set for those who love art Nouveau glassware.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
