3 large ginger jars 19th century crystal

Definition.

Very rare and beautiful ginger jars made at the 19th century in France / Belgium

The ginger jars are made of mouth-blown glass with lead, this is the old crystal.

After which round shapes are cut by hand, these we call "olives"

These are very typical of the crystal work of the 19th century.

The generous-sized rond-shaped bowls standing on baluster stems with wide plinths.

This jars show there wonderfully rustic, hand-made Character, with there slightly uneven shapes and heights, and with trapped air bubbles in the clear glass.

The underside of the plinths show the pincer marks of the glassblower.

Please note:

These are completely handmade, so they can differ in size and weight. The shape is also not always perfectly the same.

The crystal at the 19th century was not yet as pure as what we know today.

With its beautiful design, this is a true showpiece on the table.

Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
