48 antique glasses Val Saint Lambert "Othon "
48 antique glasses Val Saint Lambert "Othon "
Definition.
Very beautiful antique crystal tableware, made at the end of the 19th century in Belgium, by the world famous manufacturer "Val Saint Lambert"
The glasses are made of mouth-blown crystal, giving them a nice shine and sound.
They have a very simple cylindrical shape and are finished with engraved curls and lines.
The glasses have a beautifully decorated stem.
At the bottom of the foot you can see the cut-off of the blowpipe.
The service is for 8 people and consists of 48 glasses including, champagne coupe, water, wine glasses and port glasses.
The glasses belong to the rare "Othin" tableware series.
There are 8 glasses that are treated with uranium to obtain a green color.
When using UV light, they will give a fluorescent green color.
NOTE: This glass was in the 19th century the white wine glass, now we use it as a port glass.
The crystal in the 19th century was also not as clear as we know it today.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
