Baccarat crystal Art Deco pastery dish on foot.
Baccarat crystal Art Deco pastery dish on foot.
Definition.
Very beautiful pastery dish on foot, made of cast glass, with a high crystal content to obtain a more beautiful shine.
The plate was made at the end of the 19th century in France.
This is beautifully decorated with a diamond pattern and a serrated edge.
The pattern is called "Arcades"
Due to these fine diamond drawings and the higher crystal content, this cake shape gives a beautiful sparkle in the light.
The base at the bottom has a bell shape.
Very unique cake dish, many decorations remind us of the late 18th century crystal work of Le Creusot, which was the predecessor of Baccarat.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
