Crystal ginger jar Val Saint Lambert “Lalaing”
Definition.
Very rare and beautiful ginger jar made at the end of the 19th century, begin 20th century in Belgium, by the famous crystal factory Val Saint Lambert.
The ginger jar is made of mouth-blown crystal.
After which surfaces were cut around by hand.
The handle at the top is typical of the rare lalaing tableware series.
The generous-sized rond-shaped bowls standing on baluster stems with wide plinths.
This jars show there wonderfully rustic, hand-made Character, with there slightly uneven shapes and heights, and with trapped air bubbles in the clear glass.
The underside of the plinths show the pincer marks of the glassblower.
With its beautiful design, this is a true showpiece on the table.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
