18th century French etched carafe

Definition.

Very beautiful carafe in mouth-blown glass, with a crystal content to achieve a more beautiful shine.

The decanter is then beautifully decorated with abstract flowers in the acid etching technique.

Given its dimensions, it is made for a liqueur or a medicine.

At the bottom you can see the cut-off of the blowpipe.

It was probably made by "Le Creusot" at the end of the 18th century. Le Creusot was one of the largest glass producers at the time.

From 1830 these were split into Baccarat, Saint. Louis.....

Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
